Dark Before Light Nearing Launch Date.

by Bret Cousins on 11/19/18

Dark Before Light, the third book in the Rainey Chronicles series, will be launched soon. I'm hoping to have a launch/Christmas party sometime in December, but it may have to wait until January for me to get printed copies made up. In other news, there are three new short stories coming up for my loyal readers; backstories from the Dark Before Light.

2019 is going to be a big year for writing. Planning for Book 4 of the Rainey Chronicles, The Tachi, has already begun. I also want to get a completely different story written, tentatively titled I Am Your Friend. It's about a unlikely friendship spanning thirty years between two people thousands of miles apart. There is also a science fiction novel from a relative that is pretty good and needs some editing I've been negligent about.

And lastly, I will be looking into turning my novels into audiobooks. There is a demand for audiobooks these days.

Now all I have to do is stay focused.

I've really got to start planning before...

by Bret Cousins on 07/05/18

New novel. Plugging away. Always seem to be able to remember small character names when they pop back up in the story. But this new novel is kind of two stories in one. Following the kids of my main characters from novel #1, I've put them in two different theaters of WW2 and I'm jumping back and forth. I think this one could have used a little extra planning.

And I've still got 20,000 to 35,000 words to go (assuming that's what it will be edited down to). And a warning. This one might not be too easy to follow with the two story lines...

I'm now on Twitter. Climbing a new learning curve, so bear with me. Apparently I'll supposed to say something every day. That could be tough, but I'll see what I can do. Find me at @bgcauthor and follow me. Thanks.
